KUALA LUMPUR:Tebing Tinggi State Assemblyman (ADUN), Dr Abdul Aziz Bari does not rule out the possibility that a coalition of cooperation between political parties in Perak could happen as before.

According to him, nothing is impossible in the politics and anything can happen as long as it complies with the requirements of the Constitution and not against the norm.

In fact, said the DAP assemblyman, there have been many combinations of cooperation since 2008 that have never been imagined in the minds of the people.

"So, I think it is not impossible to see a new coalition, as long as the central level leadership is willing to accept and there should also be an exception.

"Do not see what happens at the Federal level cannot happen at the state level because the nature of the Federation allows for differences," he said in an interview with Astro AWANI on Friday.

He said this as a comment on the result of the vote of confidence which was rejected by the majority of Perak assemblymen on Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu earlier today.

In the same development, Abdul Aziz congratulated the Speaker of the Perak State Assembly (DUN), Datuk Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid for his courage and determination in allowing the motion.

"We know the path is there and our only advantage in Perak is that we have a Speaker who is so strong and open.

"Otherwise, I myself feel the suspense (whether) it will get to this effort. According to the order of the meeting given to the ADUNs yesterday, the matter (motion of confidence) was supposed to be tabled after the Budget.

"So, his courage to take a such a brave step (allowing the motion before the Budget), was accepted (for) one thing to happen," he added.

Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz said the issue of Ahmad Faizal's leadership has long been questioned before.

However, when the motion of confidence was brought, it turned out that the Chenderiang ADUN failed to maintain support at the level required by the Perak State Government Constitution.

"What happened is that the government led by Ahmad Faizal failed to win support and confidence of the House Members, so there is no other way but to resign," he added.
