Visitors flood Jalan P. Ramlee for Citrawarna 2014

More than 10,000 visitors flooded the area around Jalan P. Ramlee in the capital city last night to watch Citrawarna Kuala Lumpur 2014, a parade that brings together the culture, arts and heritage of the diverse
Malaysian population.
The event is an initiative of the Tourism and Culture ministry to promote Malaysia's tourism, culture and arts products through dances, costumes and local folk songs.
It involved more than 600 participants from 14 organisations representing government agencies, the local community, public sector and NGOs.
The parade kicked off at 8.30pm from the Malaysian Tourism Centre (Matic) exit to Jalan Ampang, Jalan Lam Yew Swee, Jalan P. Ramlee and then to Jalan Ampang and Matic entrance.
It was launched by Tourism and Culture Ministry deputy secretary-general Rashidi Hasbullah.
Kuala Lumpur city hall director-general Datuk Mohd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz was also at the event.
