The KAFA Class Assessment Test (UPKK) and Religious Primary School Assessment Test (UPSRA) on Monday and Tuesday (Oct 5 and 6) have been postponed.

Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) director-general, Datuk Othman Mustapha said this followed the announcement by the Education Ministry of the closure of schools in several states due to the worsening haze.

"The UPKK examination's postponement involves all examination centres nationwide coordinated by JAKIM. The new dates for the examination for the subjects postponed, will be announced later," he said in a statement here, today.

In addition, Othman said JAKIM also lauded the decision of the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department to postpone the UPSRA examination in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan on Monday and Tuesday, to Oct 12 and 13.

"Nevertheless, the UPKK and UPSRA examinations scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday are on as scheduled," he said.
