Unemployed man charged with stealing RM500

An unemployed man pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate Court Kuala Lumpur today to a charge of stealing cash of RM500 from a donation box of a mosque last Sunday.
Muhamad Shahfadil Mizuar, 24, was alleged to have stolen the money from the donation box at Tengku Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque in Kampung Sungai Penchala at 1.15pm on Dec 23.
He was charged under Section 379 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum jail term of seven years or fine, or both, if convicted.
Magistrate Suzarka Sahak fixed Feb 4, 2013 for mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Siti Aisyah Ahmad prosecuted, while Muhamad Shahfadil was not represented.
