Tun M worried situation will worsen

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is worried that the situation will worsen as the intruders in Sabah continue to prolong the violence despite losing the battle.

Dr Mahathir reiterated that such action has resulted in bloodsheds and the loss of the country’s eight policemen in Lahad Datu and Semporna.

“We want to solve this issue without any bloodsheds but the Sulu people are really violent. They not only kill our army but they continue to cause harm to those who already died. They say they are Muslims but their actions does not reflect the religion,” he said to a group of reporters.

He added that an immediate action must be taken to weaken the intruders and bring them to court for murder.
