City dwellers can still flock to the Titiwangsa Lake Garden for their regular exercise and recreational activities as the proposed closure of the area to make way for the River of Life (RoL) project has been postponed.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Corporate Planning Department director Khalid Zakaria said the postponement was due to several technical changes and the implementation of the project would only begin in June.
"Members of the public are still allowed to engage in basic recreational activities at the lake garden, such as jogging, brisk walking, or even a picnic.
"But, activities involving renting a bicycle, roller skates and tubesters are not allowed," he said in a statement here, Thursday.
Khalid said toilets and surau, as well food kiosks at the garden had also been reopened pending implementation of the RoL project.
