Tied up for more than 12 hours before rescued by brother

A 35-year-old restaurant helper was left tied up for more than 12 hours by a robber who entered her house, late Saturday night.
The victim was not able to seek help as both her hands and legs were tied.
She was finally rescued by her brother on Sunday noon who suspected something amiss when he could not contact her, Harian Metro reported.
In the 11pm incident, the victim whose husband was outstation for work, was having a bath when the intruder broke into the house in Teluk Intan.
She only realised that a masked man had entered the house when she saw him after coming out of the bathroom.
The victim had tried to run when the intruder tried to attack her. He then hit her with an object and the victim had fainted.
Hilir Perak district deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Zaki Harun said the robber had tied the victim's legs and hands, using a saree from her cupboard.
"He left her unconscious and escaped with more than RM2,000 in cash and jewellery," he said.
He said investigation found that the intruder had entered the house using the back door.
