Three company directors, employee charged with hoarding diesel

Three directors of an oil supply company and a worker pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Courts here on Wednesday on charges of hoarding controlled items involving 163,460 litres of diesel at a prohibited premises in Tanjong Surat here in June this year.
Datuk Seri Chong Kor Yong, 56, his son, Datuk Chong Tzeng Hang, 31, and Datuk Mohamad Mahmood, 59, who are directors of Harbour Talent Sdn Bhd, and employee Teo Yong Foo, 31, were charged with storing the diesel in a vessel, MT Inter, at the Mohamed Long Private Jetty off Kampung Tanjung Belungkor in Tanjong Surat here at 3.30am on June 6.
Kor Yong, Tzeng Hang and Mohamad were charged under Section 20(1) of the Control of Supplies Act 1961, which was read together with Section 22(4) of the same act, and is punishable under Section 22(1) of the act.
Teo was charged under Section 20(1) under the Control of Supplies Act 1961, which is punishable under Section 22(1) of the same act.
Harbour Talent Sdn Bhd, located at Taman Mount Austin, Johor Baharu was also charged with keeping diesel at the same premises, at the same time and date. Kor Yong, who represented the company, pleaded not guilty.
