The Federal Territories Ministry insisted that the housing development project in Taman Rimba Kiara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, here will be carried out as planned.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the 180 free units will also be offered to the families of ex-plantation workers living in longhouses within the area.
“Even we did not hesitate to proceed with the project in the near future. What is the fuss about, we do not encroach the recreational park.
"We are also giving it free to Indian families who originated from the area,” he told the media during the handover ceremony in Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC), here, today.
He said this in response to the TTDI Education Association’s decision to take legal action if the project continues.
