Sultan Nazrin enthronement: Over 1,000 attend thanksgiving ceremony and prayers

Over 1,000 people attended the thanksgiving ceremony and prayers held in conjunction with the enthronement of Sultan Nazrin Shah as the XXXV Sultan of Perak at the Ubuddiah Mosque here on Saturday.

Also present were Raja Muda of Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, Raja Di-Hilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain and other members of Perak royal family.

It was also attended by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and several other dignitaries.

The thanksgiving prayers began with Maghrib prayers, followed by tahlil and Yasin recital led by Mufti of Perak Tan Sri Dr Harussani Zakaria, and Isyak prayers led by Ubuddiah Mosque Imam Helmi Ibrahim.

Similar thanksgiving prayers were also held at all mosques, suraus, schools and institutions of higher learning in the state.
