Because he did not want to continue to be part of a secret society, a secondary school student from Bukit Tinggi, Klang was badly bashed up by three other teenagers.
The incident reportedly happened at 1.30pm last Friday at a supermarket in Klang, after the last day of school ended before the school holidays start.
Klang Selatan district police chief, ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the suspects were believed to have lured the 14-year-old victim to the supermarket before assaulting him at a washroom within the premises.
The victim suffered bodily injuries and also on his lower lip from the assault, he said in a statement.

Following a report lodged by the victim, police have since identified and arrested the suspects in a series of raids yesterday.
“Two of them, aged 16 and 17, have been expelled from the same school on May 28, a day before the incident. The third suspect, a 15-year-old, is still schooling in Form Three.
“After being interrogated, all three suspects admit to being involved with the assault.
“The motive for the assault was because the victim had opted out from the Gang 360 Pandamaran,” said Kamarul Zaman.
The suspects also admitted to being part of the secret society which was headed by a man.
Subsequently, police conducted more raids to trace other culprits who were recruiting school students to become gang members.
“The police will take legal action in addition to the Societies Act 1966 and also Prevention of Crime Act 1959,” Kamarul Zaman added.
