Slain cop's children receive RM10,000

Tabung Haji on Monday presented a contribution of RM10,000 for the two children of Sgt Zal Azri Abdul Somad who was killed in a struggle with a crime suspect at the Cheng Technology Park in Malacca on Sept 23.

The contribution, in the form of TH savings accounts of RM5,000 each, was handed over by TH chairman Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim.

Abdul Azeez said the contribution was aimed at easing the financial burden of Zal Azri's widow Atiqah Mohd Rosdi in educating the children, Mohamad Habibullah, four, and Mohamad Atiqullah, five months.

"I hope there will be more contributions from various parties to help the family," he told reporters after handing over the two TH savings account books.

Members of the public who wish to make donations can deposit the money directly into the TH accounts of Mohamad Habibullah (040102000226362) and Mohamad Atiqullah at (040102000226314).
