Serendah landslide: 1 injured, vehicles, food stall 'swallowed'

Fire and Rescue Department and Public Works Department (JKR) is continuously observing the landslide following the incident at Taman Idaman, Serendah, early this morning.
To date, no casualties were reported in the 1am incident.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director (Operations), Mohd Sani Harul when contacted by Astro AWANI said the location is being monitored for any slightest soil movement.
"We are closely monitoring the situation with assistance from Public Work Department for any soil movements around the landslide area. Rescue operation has finished and we are focusing on monitoring the situation from time to time," he said.
According to Mohd Sani, there has been no report made on missing people, so far.
"For safety reason, we have asked people in the neighbourhood to relocate temporarily," he said.
A motorcyclist, only known as Mohd Fareez, 21 was injured while a food stall and 10 vehicles were 'swallowed' by the landslide, Bernama reported.
He was reportedly buried underneath the pile of soils and rescued by some residents not too long later.
Mohd Fareez has been sent to Selayang Hospital for treatment.

Fire Department was called to the scene at 1.02 am and a team made up of a six-member team reached the location 16 minutes later.
At least 10 cars, two motorcycles and a van were reportedly buried in the collapse.
Seven unit of shops were also ruined and buried in the enclave.
Selangor Disaster Management informed that the residents of 64 high-risk houses will be relocated to SRA Serendah and Hulu Langat JKR, together with Majlis Daerah Hulu Langat are ordered to take charge of road repairing works immediately.
Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, who is now on a work trip to Japan, has urged the the respective agencies to take proactive measures to ensure the people's safety.
