Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman tidak mahu dirinya dan rakyat Malaysia yang lain dilabel berdasarkan parti politik.
Pendebat terbaik Asia, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman tidak mahu dirinya dan rakyat Malaysia yang lain dilabel berdasarkan parti politik ketika memberi kritikan.
Sebaliknya, beliau lebih selesa dengan label ‘Macai Malaysia’.
Kenyataan Syed Saddiq dimuat naik di Facebook beliau setelah beliau menerima pelbagai reaksi berikutan kenyataan beliau yang mengkritik DAP yang mula beralasan berhubung isu debat 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Tambahnya, kritikan yang diberi harus dinilai berdasarkan kandungan berbanding label seseorang.

“Kalau saya kritik pihak kerajaan yang memerintah, saya jadi macai pembangkang. Kalau saya kritik pihak pembangkang, saya jadi macai Barisan Nasional (BN).
“Saya bukan macai mana-mana parti politik. Kalau ada, saya jadi macai Malaysia," katanya di Facebook.

Setelah kenyataan itu dikongsi di media sosial, hashtag #SayaMacaiMalaysia terus trending.
Ramai yang menyokong kempen itu dan berkata mengkritik satu pihak bukan bermakna menjadi macai pihak yang lain.
