KUALA LUMPUR: An application by the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) to be registered as a political party has been rejected by the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (RoS).
The matter was confirmed by one of MUDA's founders, Mutalib Uthman in the WhatsApp group with the media just now.
"The notification of the rejection of MUDA's registration was conveyed via an email yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) and we will issue a statement in the near future," he said.
The party has 13 co-founders including Muar Member of Parliament, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
Syed Saddiq, who is also former Bersatu's Armada (Youth) Chief registered his new party with the RoS on September 17.
