RON97 price trimmed to RM2.55 per litre by Wednesday

The price of RON97 petrol will go down by RM0.20 sen to RM2.55 per litre at midnight, said Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan via an announcement via his Twitter account on Tuesday.
"RON97 be reduced to RM0.20 sen per litre from RM2.75 to RM2.55 starting midnight, Nov 19. Attached is a copy of letter from Ministry of Finance," said Ahmad Maslan in his Tweet.

A circular from the Ministry of Finance announcing the price of RON97 petrol will be reduced by RM0.20 sen to RM2.55 per litre from Wednesday.
In September 2013, the price of RON97 was increased by RM0.15 sen to RM2.85 per litre. The price peaked at RM3 in September.
In October, the price of RON95 petrol and diesel was increased by RM0.20 sen per litre in an effort by the Government to rationalise subsidies.
