KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah National Security Council (MKN) is using easy-to-understand sentences as well as a character called 'Rembo' to explain the standard operating procedures (SOP) related to COVID-19 on its official Facebook page.
Sabah MKN director Sharifah Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof said the humorous postings are illustrating several scenarios that the people would experience and clearing their confusion.
"Rembo and the humorous approach are seen to be effective in helping to reduce the pressure that the community has to deal with during the current situation.
"In fact, local dialect and slang are also used to make it easier for the social media users to understand and to attract more people especially Sabahans living in the peninsula to follow us on Facebook.
"The use of interesting and concise infographics as opposed to long texts also attracts the attention of readers," she told Bernama today.
The Sabah MKN Facebook page now has more than 120,000 followers, she said.
