Remains of student killed in India to arrive in Malaysia tomorrow

The remains of S. Uthaya Kumar, who was killed in a road accident in India, is expected to arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 7.30am tomorrow (Jan 31).
Foreign Ministry in a statement today said the remains of the Public Service Department-sponsored student would be flown back on Malaysia Airlines flight MH193 from Bengaluru International Airport.
"The consular officer and a PSD officer from the Malaysian consulate general in Chennai as well as the victim's next-of-kin have arrived at the Basaveswara Medical College, Chitradurga on Jan 29 to manage the repatriation process," it said.

He died on the way to the hospital.Meanwhile, the victim's sister S. Thavamalar, 20, said upon arrival, the
remains would be brought to the family home at Bandar Baru Selayang before being taken to the Cheras crematorium for cremation rites at about 11.30am.
