Religious school clerk murder case fixed for mention on Feb 4

The accused went on trial on Dec 3 last year and today the court fixed a date for mention of the case.
The Magistrate's Court today fixed Feb 4 for mention of a case involving an assistant medical officer who was charged with the murder of a religious school clerk in Bukit Pasir in November last year.
Magistrate Mohd Shafiq Mustaza fixed the date after allowing an application by deputy public prosecutor Shaarmini Arjunan as the prosecution was awaiting a post-mortem report from the hospital although a chemist report had already been submitted by the Chemistry Department.
There was no objection from counsel Nahda Rengganathan Abdullah representing the accused, Zurailie Muhamaddu, 30.
The accused went on trial on Dec 3 last year and today the court fixed a date for mention of the case.

Zurailie was charged with murdering Nurul Shahira Mohamed Yatim, 29, who was also his neighbour at No. 85, Jalan Sungai Terap, Taman Setia Kasih in Bukit Pasir near here between 2.05pm and 2.30pm on Nov 16 last year.
