The test under the ''Trim & Fit'' programme is compulsory for all police officers and other ranks to determine their health condition and is one of the main criteria for promotion.
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has made it mandatory for its officers and other ranks to undergo the ''Pare Test'' for purposes of promotion and confirmation of ranks beginning 2018, said Kedah Police Chief, Datuk Asri Yusoff.
The test under the ''Trim & Fit'' programme is compulsory for all police officers and other ranks to determine their health condition and is one of the main criteria for promotion.
"Beginning next year, the main requirement for promotion is passing the ''Pare Test'' which will replace the National Physical Fitness Test (UKJK).
"This can ensure that police officers and other ranks will appear attractive besides being fit to undertake police duty," he told reporters, here today.
Earlier, Asri officiated the Rank Donning Ceremony for Senior Officers of the Kedah Contingent to seven officers besides handing over Raya cookies at the Kedah Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK).
He expressed confidence that with the promotion, the police personnel would discharge their duty and responsibilities with greater determination in order to maintain peace and harmony in the country.
