AMONG the headlines for Monday, July 4, 2022, the Health Ministry issued a warning today about two new sub-variants of the COVID-19 Omicron strain, called Omicron BA.4 and Omicron BA.5.

Sydney and its surrounding area faces its fourth, and possibly worst, round of flooding in less than a year and a half, as more than 30,000 residents were told to evacuate or prepare to abandon their homes today.
