Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has expressed appreciation for the hard work put in by staff of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) at the Emergency Operations Centre in the search for a missing airliner.

An official source told Bernama on Friday that Najib conveyed the appreciation when he met the staff at the MAS Flight Management Building at the KL International Airport, here.

Earlier, the prime minister attended a briefing given by the MAS senior management. Also present was MAS Group CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya.

MAS Flight MH370 disappeared while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing early last Saturday with 239 people on board, and a massive multinational search into its seventh day has yielded no trace of the aircraft.
