Chaos at one of the PKR branches during party elections
The PKR Central Election Committee (CEC) believed that outsiders were involved in the ruckus that occurred at ten of the PKR branch elections.
CEC Chairman Datuk Johari Abdul said the party will not tolerate gangster behaviour and will take action against those responsible for instigating chaos.
“We have video recordings of the Kuala Langat branch elections yesterday. Five youngsters stormed in before the end of the polling session and kicked the ballot boxes, causing the ballots to scatter all over the floor,” he told the press at the PKR headquarters today.
Despite the chaos, he said that polling in that branch was not called off.
“Up till yesterday, the committee has decided to suspend elections in ten divisions which are Hulu Langat, Sabak Bernam, Sungai Besar, Subang, Klang, Selayang, Kota Raja, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor and Kapar.”
MORE TO COME.
