All 1,163 occupants of Teratai Apartment, who were ordered to evacuate due to a landslip there last Monday, have been allowed to return home at 3pm, Sunday.
People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) platoon head, Masria Sahi said the occupants were allowed to return home on an order by Hulu Selangor District Officer Ahmad Suadi Abdul Rahim.
She said the occupants were also informed by authorities that there was no new land movement since the installation of sheet piles and canvas on the hill slope last Oct 21.
"Monitoring and checks at the location will continue," she told Bernama here.
Masria said Rela, the police, Fire and Rescue Department, the Civil Defence Department and the Red Crescent Society were monitoring the situation there with the return of the occupants to their respective apartments.
The affected occupants from Block K and L were evacuated temporarily to Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Bunga Raya 1 and Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Bunga Raya 2 since the landslide occurred last Monday.
A survey by Bernama to the area today say the occupants happy and excited to be able to return home.
One of them, Nazaruddin Bidin, 44, said he and his family were happy after being informed the good news.
"We hope the authorities can provide us with a suitable temporary house should the situation recur," he added.
Fauzi Salleh, 38, a self-employed, said he hoped the problem could be resolved fast.
"We are happy to be able to return home and hope a long-term action can be taken to avoid another landslide," he added..
