The number of flood victims in three districts of Pahang increased to 157 people from 35 families as at 9pm today, compared to only 75 from 17 families in the evening.

State Civil Defence Forces (APM) director, Zainal Yusoff said the increase in the number of victims was recorded in two new districts, namely Raub and Jerantut.

"The victims evacuated in Jerantut rose to 88 people from 20 families and are now housed at the three relief centres, namely at the Dewan Semai Bakti Felda Kota Gelanggi, Balai Raya Lata Kasah and Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Bharu," he said when contacted by Bernama here tonight.

As for the Raub district, he said 59 people from 11 families were evacuated to five relief centres, namely Pusat Maklumat Kluster Durian Kampung Pamah Rawas, Balai Raya Kampung Pamah Kulat, Masjid Bukit Pampong, Balai Raya Kuala Keloi and SK Tanjung Putus.

He said in Lipis, the number of evacuees remained at 10 people from three families who are still housed at the Kampung Sungai Lik Surau.
