THE National Human Capital Conference & Exhibition (NHCCE) is an essential event in the world of human capital development, and its upcoming 2023 edition promises to be a transformative experience for industry professionals.
Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) Chief Programmes Officer Soffian Amin said NHCCE is a platform that brings together the best minds in the field to discuss and anticipate current and future trends in human capital development.
“The importance of such an event cannot be understated, given the recent global events that have significantly impacted economic development and livelihoods worldwide.
“The uncertainties of the past years have accelerated the need for organizations to embrace digitization and build resilience to face future challenges,” said Soffian.
He added that as the custodian of local human capital development, HRD Corp has played a vital role in enhancing the quality of the local workforce through quality training and development opportunities.
HRD Corp's commitment to the NHCCE stems from a history of successful conferences since 2001.
Alhough the event took a brief hiatus in 2020-2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the return of NHCCE in 2022 was a resounding success, attracting nearly 2,500 participants.
Soffian added that the success, coupled with requests from various regions in Malaysia, led to the expansion of NHCCE into regional conferences in Penang for the Northern region and another in Kota Kinabalu for the Borneo region for this year’s edition.
This year's NHCCE, which will be carried out on 30th and 31st October carries the theme "Pioneering Growth, Inspiring Change."
“If you look at the value chain of workers, we want to drive Malaysian to a higher scale so that we can push up the salaries and remain competitive,” said Soffian at the Agenda AWANI programme.
The conference will feature five discussion pillars: Technology & Innovation, Leadership & Growth, Motivation & Wellbeing, Learning & Development, and Dynamic Workforce & Future Workplace.
Soffian explained that these pillars were carefully chosen to reflect and expand on the theme, addressing core priority areas in human capital development at personal, organizational, and industrial levels.
“There will be experts at the forum to discuss about these important pillars,” he added.
Participants can also look forward to one of the largest exhibitions in Malaysia in 2023, featuring over 400 exhibitors offering products and services to improve business productivity.
The exhibition area will provide opportunities for business matching and a career fair, allowing visitors to explore networking and employment possibilities.
In line with HRD Corp's commitment to inclusivity, the exhibition will include sharing sessions with prominent figures from the Persons With Disabilities (PWD) and Gig Working space, ensuring that underrepresented voices are heard and supported.
As Malaysia strives to improve its global competitiveness and Human Development Index, the NHCCE 2023 is set to be a key enabler for these targets.
Delegates and visitors are encouraged to register for the conference and be part of this dynamic and inspiring event that will shape the future of human capital development.
