The landscape provided by social media can be exploited for bad activities such as fraud, phishing or abusive behaviour.
It comes as a no surprise when recently, a fake Astro AWANI Twitter account has resurfaced and Netizens are speculating that updates posted in the account are genuine posts by the team at the company.
Not too far back from the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 on March 8, last year a certain quarters of Netizens have taken the 'bold' initiative to create bogus accounts using Astro AWANI tweet handle allegedly to tarnish the brand and air grievances against the media platform.
The last posting dated February 27 highlighted a post material showcasing a heinous photo is offensive or critical of Astro AWANI.

It is hoped that loyal readers of Astro AWANI will report the fake accounts as spam.
