Najib's winding up speech will be the focus of Umno Assembly closing

The 2014 Umno General Assembly continued on the last day today with the resumption of the debate on the economy by six more delegates.
This was followed by the tabling and debate on the motions on religion and education by 15 delegates.
As usual, the attention of the 2,752 Umno delegates and Malaysians throughout the country on the conclusion of the assembly would be the winding up of the debates by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak as Umno president, and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Umno deputy president.
The winding-up session would be held in the afternoon.
Besides the two top party leaders, senior Umno leaders who would also be winding up the debates today were the three party vice-presidents namely Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
Others scheduled to wind up the debates were Wanita Umno head Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Umno Youth head Khairy Jamaluddin, and Puteri Umno head Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin as well as a representative of the Umno Supreme Council.
