Najib meets Jackie Chan at charity concert

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, attended a dinner event and charity concert for the Sekolah Menengah Chong Hwa building fund at Darul Makmur Stadium here.

They were welcomed by China's Ambassador to Malaysia Chai Xi, Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and popular Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan.

Najib and Chan led other Chinese community leaders present in beating the drums to launch the function which was also attended by about 10,000 guests.

The school management also presented RM300,000 for the Lahad Datu Heroes Fund.

The prime minister and his wife subsequently, left the function to attend a 'Promises Fulfilled' programme at the Kuantan 2 municipal council field.

Meanwhile, two branded watches and a calligraphy painting done by Chan were auctioned for RM3 million.
