Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd expects sales of its Honda motorcycles to increase to 262,700 units this year from 234,500 units last year.

Its chief sales and marketing officer, Tan Hui Jing said the figure would comprise cubs and completely built-up models.

"The company is optimistic of achieving the target with the introduction of two new models, the All-New Spacy and All-New PCX, which will be available next month," he said after the launch of the new motorcycle models, here today.

He said the company is aiming to sell 18,000 units of the All-New Spacy model and 3,650 units of the All-New PCX model within one year, starting next month until October 2013.

Both the motorcycles are automatic transmission models, designed to be stylish and easy to handle, and are both featured with advanced safety, improved dimensions and comfort styling.

Boon Siew Honda is also increasing its dealership with the addition of 20 more outlets nationwide by next year, Tan added.

With a total of 298 outlets in Malaysia currently, the company controls 47.1 per cent share of the domestic motorcycle market.

With an on-the-road price of RM4,999 each, the All-New Spacy is designed for fun with high utility and big capacity. It runs on a fan-cooled, four-stroke, 110cc single-cylinder overhead camshaft (OHC) engine powered by Honda V-Matic Technology.

Meanwhile, the All-New PCX priced at RM10,888 each, is a stylish model built as luxurious personal comfort sedan.

It has a 153cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled single overhead camshaft (SOHC) engine, enhanced smart power for durability, fuel economy, power and torque.
