All the eight anglers and three crew members of a boat who went missing on Saturday have been found safe late last night.

They were brought to the Kelantan Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) jetty at Tok Bali, Pasir Puteh, early this morning.

The group was located by MMEA search boats at the South China Sea at about 10.40pm last night.

They should have returned to Pengkalan Petah, Kemasin on Saturday after going out to sea on Friday evening.

They had gone angling near the Lawit oil rig, about 64 nautical miles from Kemasin beach.

MMEA 10 Kelantan district commander Ismail Hamzah said on the way back, their boat encountered engine problems and could not start.

He said they were all well, adding that although they were unable to communicate for help, they had sufficient food on board.
