Acting Transport Minister datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has ordered an investigation into the commotion involving Chinese families at the Sama-Sama Hotel here on Wednesday evening.
“We regret the incident during the press conference which involved several families of the passengers onboard MH370.
“We can only imagine the suffering that they are going through. Malaysia is doing everything in their power to locate the MH370 and hope to provide some answer to these families,” said Hishammuddin.
He also urged for all quarters to understand that Malaysia is doing its best in finding the missing plane.
He was answering the criticism thrown by several family members from China who blamed Malaysia of not being serious in their search and rescue effort.
The media room at the Sama-Sama Hotel was in chaos on Wednesday with the arrival of six people who claimed to be the family members of the passengers from China.
Their arrival stole local and foreign media attention who were at that moment waiting for a press conference scheduled to be held by Hishammuddin at 5.30pm.
According to reports, they arrived and entered the media room at 4.45pm, carrying a banner and shouting for their family members to be returned.
They were escorted out 10 minutes later.
