“ Alright , goodnight".
Those were the last words that came from the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370.
Malaysian Ambassador to China Datuk Iskandar Sarudin revealed this to the families of passengers who attended a meeting with officials in Beijing on Wednesday morning.
Officials from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) during the meeting said those were the last words transmitted from MH370 after Malaysian air traffic controllers informed the pilots that they were entering Vietnamese airspace and that the air traffic controllers from Ho Chi Minh city were taking over.
According to a news report, more than 400 family members of the Chinese passengers on board MH370 had asked to meet with the Malaysian government to demand for answers.
However, family members left with more questions than answers after the meeting that was held at the at Metropark Lido Hote in Beijing.
DCA officials also reiterated that there are no reasons to doubt the pilot’s competence because he is experienced and had passed all inspections MAS used for their pilots.
The comment was in response to a report that one of the pilots had allowed passengers to enter the cockpit in the past.
