Met Dept warns of strong winds, rough seas till Friday

Strong south-westerly winds of 40 to 50 kilometre per hour and waves as high as 3.5 metres are expected to hit waters

off Kedah, Perlis and Penang tomorrow until Friday.

The Meteorology Department, in a statement today, said such a condition is dangerous to small boats, sea recreational activities and sea sports.

A similar weather condition is also expected in waters off Phuket, north of the Straits of Melaka, Condore, Reef North and Palawan.
