Three assemblymen from MCA in Melaka are prepared to be appointed as state executive councillors and be committed to serving the people.
Bemban assemblyman Datuk Ng Choon Koon gave his assurance that he will give his full cooperation to those appointed.
"The three of us are a team, so not possible to have sour faces or be disheartened...we are committed to serving the people," he told Bernama outside the state assembly sitting.
He was met together with two other Malacca MCA assemblymen, Datuk Lai Meng Chong (Machap) and Lim Ban Hong (Klebang).
On Nov 20, Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said the appointment of Melaka state executive council (exco) members from among MCA assemblymen would be announced on Thursday.
Malacca currently has eight state exco members - seven from UMNO and one from MIC. Previously, there were two exco members from MCA.
Meanwhile, Lai hoped those MCA assemblymen not picked to become exco members would be appointed deputy state executive councillors to enable all MCA assemblymen to contribute effectively to the state government's administration.
When asked if he was ready to hold an exco post, Lim only smiled and said: "Ready."
