A man, who claimed that he was part of Daish militant group was arrested by local authorities on Wednesday evening.
The local man who is in his 30s, was arrested in front of the Defence Ministry (Mindef), Jalan Padang Tembak here, by police and army guards.
During the 7.45pm incident, the man who arrived with a taxi, admitted that he was carrying a bomb.
Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif, said initial investigation shows that the man was likely sufferring from a mental problem.
Mohamad Roy added that the device the man claimed to be a bomb turned out to be a device resembling a mobile power bank unit.
He said police will investigate the matter further.
