Malaysian student injured in Taipei receiving treatment

A Malaysian student who suffered second degree burns during an explosion at the Colour Play Asia celebrations in Formosa Water Park, New Taipei City, yesterday has been admitted to the Ren Ai Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Foreign Affairs Ministry in a statement today said Lim Sh Li, a medical student at the National Taiwan University, suffered 54 per cent second degree burns on her arms and legs.
She was admitted to the Ren Ai Hospital's ICU in Taipei for further treatment, according to the statement.
An officer from the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre in Taipei had visited the victim and rendered the necessary consular assistance.
According to the statement, the local authorities were still investigating the cause of the explosion.
The Foreign Ministry through the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre in Taipei, is trying to gather more information from the local authorities on the incident.
