Malaysia only agrees with three out of four outlines from Saudi Arabia in defeating the militant group Daish.
Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein said, this includes identifying the militants group's financial sources, understanding their narrative ideology and the media's role in controlling Daish's propaganda.
However, Malaysia did not agree with the fourth outline, which involves military mission, the Defence Minister said.
"We have agreed with three things, and I have been consistent from before that our fight against militants will not include the military.
"Military exercise has been done in many other countries, including the United States and China, but it does not invlove military operations.
"In regards to the fourth track, we will not compromise," Hishamuddin said during a briefing session on the Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition and Conference 2016.
The conference, scheduled to be held this April, would showcase an estimated 1,200 companies from 60 countries.
Meanwhile, Hishamuddin also hoped for more participation from small and medium enterprises (SME) in the defence and services sectors for potential idea-sharing and greater collaboration.
