Popular host, Datuk Mahadzir Lokman, 60, who was admitted to the University Malaya Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor following an infection, is in critical condition.
His brother, Danial, said Mahadzir was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after he was found unconscious at his residence here earlier this morning.
It was reported that Mahadzir had just returned from a working trip in Jakarta, Indonesia two days ago and believed to have contracted an infection.
"We found my brother (Mahadzir) unconscious at around 10am today before giving him his insulin shot. He was also having breathing complication," said Danial, when contacted by Astro AWANI here today.
Upon realising his brother's deteriorating condition, Danial called the ambulance and Mahadzir was rushed to the ICU of PPUM.
According to Danial, the infection had triggered more complications on his lungs and kidney.
"His diabetes and high blood pressure had worsened due to the infection," he added.
Danial said his family hopes that his brother's friends and fans will pray for a miracle and to send positive energy that Mahadzir would recover soon.:
