Maggot-infested body of murder victim found in Manjung

The maggot-infested body of a man, believed to have been murdered, was found at a construction site in Taman Pantai Damai near Manjung yesterday.

Passers-by who spotted the body in the bushes about 2.20pm, alerted the police.

Based on wounds and bruises, initial police investigations have not ruled out the possibility the unidentified victim was killed elsewhere about four days ago before the body was dumped at the site.

Manjung police chief ASP Tengku Mohd Zailan Tengku Ahmad Shah said today, the case was classified as murder.
