The lower part of the body of a man who was reported missing two days ago was found by anglers who were fishing at the Kampung Baru Bridge here today.
State Fire and Rescue assistant director (Operation) Farhan Sufiyan Borhan said the body part of Sylvester Kilat Anak Lee, 19, was identified by his father from the jeans worn by the victim.
He said Sylvester was believed to have slipped into the river at the Muara Tuang Ferry Terminal last Monday.
"The body part was found at 10.40 am today, about two kilometres from where the victim was believed to have fallen into the river," he added.
He said it was then submitted to the police for further action and the search for the remaining part of the body was still being carried out.
