Landowners found cultivating ketum risk losing land titles - MB

The Perlis government has warned landowners who cultivate trees on their land they will face drastic action including having their land titles withdrawn.

Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man said the ruling was introduced last it had not been enforced.

"The state government views abuse seriously as many students are involved. We will not hesitate to act on those who misused their land," he told reporters after launching My Beautiful Malaysia (MBM) in Kampung Rambai, Pauh, yesterday.

The by Perlis National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) was also attended by its director, Azizah Ahmad.

Azlan said the state government's initiative was to curb abuse which was getting rampant in the state.
