KLCI futures mostly higher at midday

KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract (FKLI) on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the morning trading session mostly higher on sustained buying interest.

At lunch break, spot month March 2021 and April 2021 rose 1.5 points each to 1,566.5 and 1,573.0, respectively, while June 2021 advanced 3.0 points to 1,561.5 and September 2021 eased 1.0 point to 1,551.5.

Turnover stood at 5,166 lots, with open interest at 41,289 contracts.

At 12.30 pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI rose 6.24 points to 1,573.38.
