The 15-year-old girl who faked her own kidnapping in Bandar Sultan Suleiman here last week, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court here today to giving false information on her missing.

The juvenile who made the headlines over the case entered the plea before Magistrate Nor Asma Ahmad.

The girl who was attired in a green hospital ward dress was charged under Section 196 of the Penal Code (using evidence that is false or fabricated).

She had committed the offence in Bandar Sultan Suleiman here at 9.12am last Dec 29.

The case of her missing also went viral on social media where her "panicked" conversation about her "kidnapping" with her sister was uploaded.

The girl who was then suspected to have been abducted while on way her home in Klang Utara on that day was found by police with a man, believed to be her boyfriend, in front of a petrol station in Banting near here at 7.45 pm two days later.

Earlier, the man believed to be the boyfriend, aged 19, was charged in the same court with running away with the minor unlawfully.

Gan, who was charged under Section 363 of the Penal Code (kidnapping a person from lawful guardianship), however, pleaded not guilty.

He is liable to be jailed up to seven years and also a fine, if convicted.

In a related case, a 16-year-old juvenile pleaded not guilty at the same court when charged with raping the same girl in in December 2014. She was 13 then.

He was charged under Section 376(1)of the Penal Code with committing the offence in Bandar Sultan Suleiman at around noon on a day in Dec 2014 (date not given in the charge sheet).

In the proceedings today, Deputy Public Prosecutor Syed Farid Syed Ali urged the court to set bail at RM5,000 for the girl pending the behaviour report from the Welfare Department to enable sentencing.

However, counsel Nur Aida Md Zainuddin, representing the girl, urged the court to impose a lower bail as she was still studying in Form Three at a school in Klang.

"My client who is the eldest of four siblings also has to work during school holidays to supplement the family income," she said.

The court set bail at RM1,500 with her parents to be the sureties and also Jan 14 for submission of the behavior report and sentencing.

The court also set Feb 25 for re-mention of the case involving her alleged boyfriend, who was represented by counsel Ian Mark Simpson.

As for the 16-year-old juvenile charged with rape, who is being assisted by the Legal Aid Foundation, he was allowed bail at RM2,000 with the parents to be sureties.

His case will be mentioned tomorrow.
