The Kelantan police seized RM4.7 million worth of drug, believed to be ecstasy pills, from a house which is used as an illegal jetty near the Kelantan-Thai border last Thursday.
Deputy state police chief SAC Din Ahmad said the seizure, involving 474,000 pills, was made by a team from battalion 8 of the General Operations Force at 7.15 pm.
The pills were in three gunny sacks in the house, he told reporters at the Kelantan police contingent headquarters here today.
He said a local man, aged 51, had been arrested to facilitate investigation.
The seizure is the biggest by the Kelantan police this year, he added. -- Bernama
