North Korean chemist, Ri Jong Chol was at the Putrajaya Immigration Department for six hours starting 9.30am before he was deported to his birth country.

Astro AWANI has managed to obtain an amateur video recorded during Jong Chol’s deportation process was taking place at the department.

Jong Chol was remanded following the murder of the half-brother of North Korean’s leader, Kim Jong Nam had to undergo deportation documentation process before leaving the country.

Garbed in a bullet proof vest, the 47-year-old had arrived at the Immigration Department around 9.15pm before he was taken to the Sepang District Office under tight police supervision.
Jong Nam was murdered on Feb. 13 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, after being assaulted by two women who Malaysian police believe smeared his face with VX, a chemical classified by the United Nations as a weapon of mass destruction.

The women, one from Indonesia and the other from Vietnam, were later detained and were charged this week with murder.

Jong Chol, was also arrested days after the murder, but he was released from police detention on Friday.

He was taken from detention to an immigration office wearing a bullet proof vest to be processed before being sent back to Pyongyang.
