IGP denies issuing list of terror target places in KL

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar today denied the rumours of having issued a warning for the people to avoid several public places in the city said to be targets for terror attacks.
The screenshot of the warning had gone viral on social media and WhatsApp, creating unnecessary panic among the people.
Khalid, through his official Twitter account, had stressed that the warning was not issued by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

The public also expressed concern over the warning.
The message warned the public to refrain from visiting several locations in Kuala Lumpur.
Among the so-called prohibited areas were Publika, Bangsar, Mid Valley, The Curve, KL Tower, Hartamas, KLCC, Bukit Bintang and LRT stations.
