MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad made a visit to the Kuala Lumpur High Court, to lend moral support to his former deputy, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Both the leaders were seen shaking hands inside a court room.
The woman with seven children and two grandchildren whose photograph went viral after they were found living on the five-foot way of a hotel in Chow Kit here, have been given temporary shelter at a private Islamic learning centre in Subang Jaya. Roziah Yusuf, 42, a Thai national, and her family will stay there until the investigation on their case is completed.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
Sabah police began investigations on a case of a male pupil being bullied by his classmate in Sabah, of which a video recording of the incident went viral on social media, on Monday (Sept 5). Sabah police commissioner Datuk Abd Rashid Harun said the victim's family had lodged a report at the Penampang district police station.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has conferred the title 'Tengku Permaisuri Selangor' on his consort Norashikin Abdul Rahman, effective Thursday (September 8). Selangor Council of the Royal Court secretary Hanafisah Jais, in a statement, said with the proclamation, Norashikin would be addressed as Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
Service at the Kelana Jaya LRT line was interrupted due to a disruption in electrical supply in one of the trains from the Setiawangsa station going towards KLCC station. A Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd spokesperson said the interruption had caused the train services to be halted immediately and commuters were asked to get off the train due to safety factor.

The story about an International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) student who missed the electric train (ETS) home to celebrate Aidiladha due to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) service disruption, caught the attention of ETS operator, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). Malaysia has created history by winning two gold medals at the Rio Paralympics in Brazil, and etching one of the victories by setting a new world record. The first gold medal was won by Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi Sunday (Saturday in Rio de Janeiro) in the 100m T36 (celebral palsy) event and the second by Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli with a new world record in the Men's Shot Put F20 (intellectual disability) event, also on Sunday.
Malaysia's long jump parathlete Abdul Latif Romly won Malaysia's third gold in the T20 category on Sunday and setting a new world record with 7.60 meter (m).
