According to The Star Online, the student from SK Lanai sent the SMS 'threat' after his friend was not appointed to be the class monitor.
The 39-year-old teacher initially received a call from the student before receiving the text message.
She was shocked and frightened by the threats and asked her husband to investigate who sent the text message.
Her husband then called back the number from a public phone where an elderly man answered the call.
The man later admitted his nephew was using his mobile phone.
He added that he would punish the boy and report the matter to his parents.
The teacher later lodged a police report at the Kuala Muda police headquarters on 14 February.
