Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud’s mother, Yammy Samat, 59, has challenged those who had recently thrown accusations at her to produce the necessary evidence in backing up their claims.
In an interview with the Sinar Harian newspaper, Yammy said she would take legal action against those who had spread information on social media sites on the contract, asset and wealth she allegedly owned.
Yammy described the allegation as being malicious with an intention to create a negative perception of her by society.
"The statement spread through social media websites is not true. If so, I challenge them to provide evidence and if they are professional, lodge a report through the respective channels, instead of simply making accusations.
"I challenge them to produce the facts as alleged, do not just make accusations on social media websites," said Yammy.
Langkawi MP Datuk Ir Nawawi Ahmad had earlier shared information alleging Yammy of owning a variety of assets and acquired loans from Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) via his Facebook.
In his latest status, he claimed of receiving the information via the short messaging service (SMS) and decided to share the information.
Among the information shared about Yammy was of her receiving six taxi permits in Ipoh, owns a 600 hectare piece of timberland in Kroh, Perak, a shophouse in Pusing, Perak, receiving a semi-detached house in Gopeng, apart from receiving a MARA loan amounting to RM750,000.
In addition, the mother of the DAP candidate for the Teluk Intan by-election had also allegedly obtained a permit to import (AP) Siamese rice and lease 40 hectares of land for mining iron in Kinta, Perak.
The education expenses for Yammy’s three children were also borne by the Perak Menteri Besar Foundation since they were seven years old until they had entered Institutions of Higher Learning (IPTA).
Yammy said she had handed the matter over to her lawyers for legal action.
"I have made a report at the Kampung Tawas police station yesterday afternoon (Monday)," she said.
She said the allegation shared by Nawawi saying she held the post of Wanita UMNO division secretary was also untrue because she was just an ordinary member.
